Since 1988, Legends Steakhouse and the Brass Lantern have been serving high quality, made-from-scratch dishes across Middle Tennessee and Northern Alabama. They have an ongoing commitment to excellent service and exceptional quality. When Legends approached Brindley Construction with the opportunity to renovate their restaurant in Columbia, Tennessee, we knew this was a perfect match. The project began March 2020, with a complete demolition of the interior of the building. Upgrades include the installation of all new woodwork, wainscoting, flooring, and bar area, as well as a complete renovation of the kitchen and restrooms. The exterior of the building features stacked stone columns, exterior insulation and finish systems, and new paint. The entrance to the restaurant was relocated and the exterior upgrades included new paving, sidewalks, and landscaping. The architectural drawings, provided by George Nuber, really led this project.

Helping Auto Parts Manufacturers Meet Demand

on Jan 19, 2021 7:46:00 AM By | Lauren Reed | 0 Comments | Industrial Construction Auto Parts Manufacturing
The environment facing automotive sector manufacturers is fierce. Changing regulations, competition, ever-changing technology and customer preferences—not to mention the pandemic and a fluid, global economy—create challenging conditions for automakers as well as their suppliers. Brindley Construction understands this. Our team has learned much from our experience. We understand that every project these days needs to be fast-tracked—requiring quick turnaround, coordination and completion to optimize cash flow and to get new products to market, or to boost production capacity to meet demand. We understand the need to continually refine our process to build more efficient, flexible, and sustainable plants. We know that our company must also be as competitive and responsive to auto parts manufacturers as they must be with their own clients. As a design-build construction company, we have extensive experience constructing manufacturing facilities, warehouses, distribution centers, offices, and associated structures for the auto parts industry. Our work in the southern region of the U.S. includes both specialty design projects and expedited construction using pre-engineered metal buildings. In the past few years, we have built more than 500,000 square feet of industrial space for auto parts manufacturers alone in Tennessee, representing millions of dollars of investment and thousands of new jobs.

Q&A With Kathy Pigg on Her 50 Years at Brindley Construction

Can you tell us about how you began at Brindley Construction? I had just graduated from high school. I had been the Valedictorian and had earned a scholarship to college. I met my first husband in January of that year and I fell in love and got married instead of going to college. I was on my honeymoon when I discovered Mr. Brindley was looking for his first hire in the office. Mr. Brindley had an accountant and he asked him for recommendations. My aunt worked for the accountant and recommended me to the accountant, who then recommended me to Mr. Brindley. I came in for an interview while I was on my honeymoon. I was as nervous as ever! Mr. Brindley asked me if I knew how to post job costs and I told him I didn’t know but I could certainly learn. I fell in love with the job and the company as soon as I got involved.
