Building Better Spaces for Learning

Brindley Construction completed renovations to Vest Hall at Columbia Academy, modernizing the facility to better support students, faculty, and the school's evolving educational needs. The project included coordinated architectural, structural, mechanical, and life safety improvements that enhanced the building's functionality while preparing it to serve future generations of students.

As part of the renovation, the structural framing system was redesigned from steel bar joists to wood trusses to address material lead times while maintaining project progress. Additional improvements included updated classroom configurations, revised floor and roof framing, enhanced fire protection with attic sprinkler systems, mechanical system upgrades, and architectural refinements throughout the facility. The quality and craftsmanship demonstrated throughout the project were recognized with Excellence in Construction Awards from both the ABC Greater Tennessee Chapter and the ABC North Alabama Chapter, reflecting Brindley Construction's commitment to delivering exceptional educational facilities.
