Brindley Construction Celebrates Groundbreaking for Giles County Public Library Expansion
A new chapter begins at the Giles County Public Library. Brindley Construction has officially broken ground on a 4,000-square-foot expansion that will create new learning spaces for children and young adults, add telehealth resources, and strengthen services for readers across Giles County.
Brindley Construction was honored to stand alongside community leaders, library supporters, and residents to celebrate the groundbreaking of the Giles County Public Library Expansion—a meaningful project that reflects the shared commitment to education, access, and opportunity across Giles County.
The gathering brought together key members of the community who recognize the library as more than a building. It is a place where children discover the joy of reading, students find resources to learn and grow, and families connect to services that strengthen everyday life. The visible support shown at the groundbreaking highlights how deeply this project matters to the people it will serve for generations to come.
This expansion includes a 4,000-square-foot, two-story addition constructed with exterior CMU walls and painted brick veneer, structural steel framing, and metal decking. The addition will also feature a TPO roofing system with a perimeter asphalt-shingle parapet wall, designed for long-term durability and protection of the space below.
Thoughtfully planned to expand both learning and community services, the top floor will create new space for the children’s library, young adult library, and a dedicated telehealth area—offering greater access to knowledge, technology, and wellness resources. The basement floor will provide much-needed storage and book donation space, improving the library’s ability to serve the growing needs of Giles County.
