Coca-Cola Exterior Renovation
Pulaski, Tennessee
Award-Winning Resortation of Pulaski’s Historic Coca-Cola Bottling Facility
Following a devastating fire in 2023, Brindley Construction partnered with the owners of the historic Coca-Cola bottling facility in Pulaski, Tennessee, to restore one of the community's most recognizable landmarks. Serving in a design-build role, our team worked closely with the owner, engineers, and trade partners to preserve the building's historic character while creating a structure built to serve future generations.
Originally constructed in 1939, the facility suffered catastrophic damage when a lightning strike ignited hundreds of fires throughout the building. Through extensive planning, value engineering, and collaboration, Brindley developed a cost-effective restoration strategy that preserved the iconic limestone façade, salvaged and reused original brick, restored the building's historic appearance, and strengthened the structure with modern construction methods. The project also included a 70% expansion of the adjacent warehouse, providing additional office and warehouse space while keeping the overall project within budget.
Throughout construction, the project team overcame evolving design challenges, unforeseen site conditions, and budget constraints while maintaining an unwavering commitment to quality craftsmanship. By combining historic preservation with innovative problem-solving, the once fire-damaged facility now stands as a symbol of resilience for the Pulaski community and a testament to the power of collaborative construction.
The excellence in safety and quality that accompanied this project was recognized with an Excellence in Construction Award from ABC Greater Tennessee and ABC North Alabama Chapters. It also received an Excellence in Construction Eagle Award and the Design Build Institute of America Award at the ABC National Level.
