Going Above a Community’s Needs
In order for the City of Guntersville to focus its efforts on its community’s physical health and social, emotional, and educational goals, they needed a refreshing new gymnasium, scenic walking trail, and facilities.
Brindley Construction was tasked to revitalize the existing 18,000-square-foot facility that formed two outdated metal structures. This project included a complete gutting of the gymnasium, setting the stage for new amenities like advanced MEP systems, motorized basketball goals, and enhanced bleacher seating. The exterior was revamped with a fresh mix of painted concrete blocks and metal and topped off with a new roof to compliment an inviting entrance. A standout feature is the motorized curtain wall, dividing two full-sized basketball courts. Additionally, four new restrooms were added along the scenic walking trail.
This project is a recipient of a 2023 Excellence in Construction award from ABC North Alabama and ABC Greater Tennessee. It also received an Eagle award at the ABC National level.
