Modernizing Student Living Through Comprehensive Renovation
Brindley Construction completed the comprehensive renovation of Upperman Hall, a three-story residence hall on the University of Tennessee Southern campus in Pulaski, Tennessee. Designed to extend the building's service life while enhancing the student experience, the project modernized both the facility's infrastructure and interior living spaces through a carefully coordinated renovation.
The scope of work included the installation of new energy-efficient windows, a Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) HVAC system with Dedicated Outdoor Air Units, a new fire suppression system, extensive electrical upgrades, cloud ceiling panels, and numerous interior finish improvements. Additional renovations included new flooring, doors, glazing, architectural casework, lighting, and updated common areas, creating brighter, more comfortable spaces for students while improving the building's overall performance.
Because the project was completed within an active university environment, careful planning and coordination were essential throughout construction. Brindley Construction worked closely with the University to minimize disruptions while maintaining project quality, safety, and schedule. The result is a modern residence hall that provides students with a safer, more efficient, and more welcoming place to live.
