We sat down recently with Brindley Construction's new Marketing Director, Corbin Davis, and asked her to tell us about her experience during the first couple of weeks in her new role.
1. Can you tell us a little bit about your education and prior work experience?
I graduated from Tennessee Technological University in Cookeville, TN with a degree in Marketing and a minor in Social Sciences. I was a member of Alpha Delta Pi and Ducks Unlimited, where I had numerous opportunities to volunteer for my community. I started my career at Talos Engineered Products as their Marketing Specialist and learned a lot, as this was my first job in the marketing field. I have held several other Marketing positions in different industries including manufacturing, automotive, and construction.
2. What do you like most about your first weeks at Brindley Construction?
I started working with Brindley Construction in October 2022 and shortly after went on maternity leave and welcomed my daughter in November. I returned to work on January 4th, 2023. The entire Brindley Construction team has been amazing about this transition into a new career and motherhood! They have gone above and beyond to make sure I have what I need to succeed in this role and still have time with my daughter. My team is open to new opportunities and already feels like family. I am looking forward to my future at Brindley Construction!
3. In five years, what are your visions for Brindley Construction?
I believe Brindley Construction is on the right path for growth. I envision Brindley Construction expanding its customer base and digital footprint to become a distinguished brand. We already have the love of our customers and community and want to share that with the rest of the State of Tennessee. In the years to come, Brindley Construction will continue to thrive and give back to our community.
4. How would you describe your team?
Strategic but exciting! We like to try new things while keeping our customers, community, and company in mind. We walk through our decisions to ensure that the outcome is fair and enjoyable to all.
5. What do you think is the most important skill that you bring to the table?
Brainstorming! I love a good brainstorming session! Whether it’s reviewing a new process, blog ideas, or internal relations, I love working as a team to build on something great. I like to believe I think outside the box and I’m always looking for ways to improve or be different. I love change!
6. What is your favorite tv show/series?
Yellowstone or Peaky Blinders!
We asked some of Corbin’s colleagues to tell us what it’s like working with Corbin and here’s what they had to say…
“The first thing that comes to mind when I think about Corbin is she is willing to tackle anything you throw at her. She is driven and eager to learn about the construction industry. Just in the few months, we have worked together, we have accomplished a lot. We are proud to have her!”
J.J. Brindley, Director of Business Development
“I am so thrilled to be working with Corbin in the Marketing Department. In the short time she has been here, she has helped me think outside of the box. Her enthusiasm for her role at Brindley is contagious. I can’t wait for us to implement some of her ideas and watch their impact on Brindley.”
